Work

  • Directing, to me, often feels like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle—requiring both a wide perspective and careful attention to detail. It is about weaving together text, performance, and technical elements into a unified vision. What I love most about directing is the opportunity to see others thrive; there is a deep sense of pride in guiding actors, creatives, and crew toward a shared artistic outcome.

My experience spans full-scale productions, from pantomimes to book musicals, where I have worked closely with choreographers, musical directors, and technical teams to bring ideas to life. I also relish the creative challenges of black-box and fringe theatre, where minimal resources demand innovation. In these settings, I draw inspiration from Brechtian techniques, integrating music, sound, and dynamic transitions to create bold and thought-provoking work.

  • I am particularly passionate about female-driven stories, believing strongly in the importance of amplifying women’s voices on stage. I enjoy exploring narratives that delve into relationships, women’s health—both mental and physical—and the complexities of growing up. Equally, I value the chance to work with young people and children, and I am eager to expand my experience in children’s theatre, fostering their artistic growth and love for performance

  • Collaboration is at the heart of my process. I encourage actors to share their insights and ideas, shaping a collective vision while maintaining clear direction. I am experienced in developing detailed rehearsal schedules to ensure efficiency and productivity, as well as leading character development exercises and workshopping material with writers when needed.
