I think directing is often like a jigsaw, having to see things from a wider lens, bringing technical elements, actors, and text all together to build the puzzle. I enjoy directing because I love seeing others succeed, and therefore, when I direct something, I feel a great sense of pride in connecting all those elements together to the best of my abilities.

I have experience working on full-scale productions, including panto and book musicals. I have worked unitedly with Choreographers, Musical Directors and technical crew to bring my visions to life.

I love the challenge of black-box/fringe theatre shows. Here, I really feel like I can create interesting work through the influence of Brechtian techniques, music and sound, and thoughtful transitions.

I am really passionate about female-driven work and work that highlights female stories, as I feel like there's a real lack of work showing female characters and issues. I love exploring stories about relationships, female mental & physical health, and growing up.

Equally, I really enjoy working with young people and children. I hope to gain more experience in children’s theatre, helping aid their development and love for the arts.

I approaches my work collaboratively, encouraging the actors to give ideas and express their thoughts whilst all working towards one vision.

I have experience creating detailed rehearsal schedules, to ensure a smooth running and productive rehearsal room.

I am confident in leading character development exercises and workshopping ideas with the writer when necessary.
