About Me

Catriona is a Scottish director, creative and theatre-maker based in Glasgow. Her work spans contemporary theatre, musical theatre, new writing and youth performance. Currently, she is an Associate Director at Reconnect Theatres, as well as Principal of Reconnect Academies Youth School.

Recent directing work includes Matilda Jr and Hansel & Gretel, as well as Scratch nights with companies such as Scylla’s Bite and Authentically False. Catriona’s upcoming projects include Assistant Directing A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and directing The Wee Mermaid, this Christmas.

Catriona is particularly drawn to female-driven stories and stories that explore relationships, health and the imperfect moments of growing up. Collaboration is central to Catriona’s directing process. She aims to create a rehearsal room that is welcoming, joyful and ambitious.

Alongside her directing work, Catriona is writing and developing her first play, exploring anxiety and mental health. This is set to debut in Autumn 2027.
